God Speaks to Sam (1 Samuel 2&3)
Don (D); Ronnie (R)puppet D. Hi Ronnie. R. Sorry, I wasn’t listening. What was that? D. I said, ‘Hi Ronnie’. R. Have I seen Bonnie? No! I haven’t. D. No! I said, ‘Hi Ronnie’. R. No need to raise your voice. Hello. D. Hi Ronnie… R. Not again… D. Look Ronnie we’re hearing a story from the Bible about young Samuel who heard God speaking to him and he didn’t know at first God was talking to him. R. Was he scared of God speaking? Ooooh…. D. No. He was woken up while he was sleeping and he told Eli. R. O that’s naughty.. shouldn’t tell lies. D. No Ronnie. The old priest’s name was Eli. R. What did the E stand for? D. Ronnie Sam had to give Eli (that’s his name) an important message from God about his sons. R/ And did Samuel tell Eli? D. Yes, he did, and it was hard for Eli because his sons were not nice people. R. They should have listened to their dad. D. Yes, they should have and also obeyed God. I think maybe we should get your ears checked ‘cause you don’t seem to be hearing very well. R. Yes! I can smell. What makes you think I can’t? I can smell lunch - hear hear. D. See you later Ron. R. Are you’re alligators gone? Who needs to be checked? © Don Stott 2020 Eliab.com |
