LICE AREN’T NICE!
My daughter came home from school today Read the newsletter, it began this way ‘Check their hair they’re on the go – Lice are moving – you should know!’ Put this parent in a whirl It couldn’t happen to ‘my girl!’ Fetch the magnifying glass Not one nit will I let past! Chorus So if you’ve got a hairy thatch Where lice might want to hatch Resist, restrain, hold back – Don’t scratch! Sure enough I found some there In a curl of dainty hair Got on Google, in a rush ‘Lice advice please?’ I did blush. So we got the head lice foam And the funny thin toothed comb Have you ever strained a nit before? Or brushed out head lice by the score? Chorus Washed her scalp, her blankets twice Washed the cat, soaked four head ties Lined the family up as well Suffocated with the smell Picked each tiny micro egg Strained my eyes – they went quite red! Got a bad case of RSI Cause I’ve pulled each hair strand up so high! What’s a head lice like you say? I’m an ‘eggspert’ from this day If your hair’s like mine - receding Must be less lice in there, feeding. Chorus So if you’ve got a hairy thatch Where lice might want to hatch Resist, restrain, hold back But DON'T SCRATCH! Repeat last two lines x3 © Don Stott Eliab.com |
