Higher Calling
You've been given eyes to see Breadth and depth and mystery To understand, while other minds still graze. You feel, with heart so full, So intensely know the pull Of how to do things right and run God's ways. When your words misunderstood Twisted, only if they could Know what God can build with words of harmony. Though you gently lead them through Others still can't run like you They wear weary, far behind your pace. Though at times your strain still real You're a gift to us who feel We are blind and need a steady hand to show God's way. So lift your eyes up to the Son, Soaring high to greet the One, See you gladly gliding high on eagle's wings. (c) Don Stott Eliab.com |
